ABSTRACT:
This article discusses some of the main responsibilities Business English lecturers have in order to perform more professional in their classes. It also looks at both extrinsic and intrinsic motivational factors students have for learning English. Further, it deals with some of the key aspects of second language acquisition, such as input and intake as well as with the main factors of successful communication. Finally, a selection of idiomatic phrases used in the human resources and personnel management is presented. Idioms are accompanied by explanations and model sentences showing the context in which the phrases are used.
