ABSTRACT:
Due to globalization, knowledge-based society becomes everyday reality. Slovakia as a European Union member since 2004 has implemented the identical ways of opening the economy for new initiatives as others to establish grounds for knowledge-based economy in the future. The paper deals with the survey aimed at identification of the level to which knowledge-intensive businesses in the Slovak economy shift their focus in preparation of their employees for new requirements in knowledge-based environment as a dawn of the change.
