Abstract
Engineers are known have a strong need for growth and personal development. However, the conflict between being ambitious with work demand structured by the organization have influenced the well-being of the engineers. As a result, engineers are found as one of the unhappiness workers in Malaysia. A total of 387 registered professional engineers participated in this study. The hypothesis were investigated through a correlation and path analysis using PLS. The results provide useful information on the effect of protean career orientation on psychological well-being. The implications of these findings which affects individuals well-being are discussed.
